Hi, I'm getting so confused! Could you please advise if I should buy a JR pass? My itinerary is:
5th Oct - arrive in Tokyo
9th Oct - Tokyo to Kyoto
12th Oct - Kyoto to Hiroshima
14th Oct - Hiroshima to Osaka
16 Oct - Osaka to Tokyo
20 Oct - Tokyo airport
I plan to do day trips to Naoshima and Yamanashi too

Because of the way that your itinerary is spread out, it seems like a JR Pass wouldn't be your most cost-effective option. It is an option worth considering as, in terms of train travel, your itinerary is fully covered, but your cheapest option is purchasing tickets individually.
