Hello,

I have plans to go to Sapporo/Tohoku area, with Sapporo being the first place to stop after landing in Tokyo and taking a flight there.

My planned itinerary from there after staying around a week is to try and go to Hakodate, Akita, Sendai, and maybe Aomori if I can fit it in. I would like to spend at least a few days in each place, but I am confused on what the "flexible" part of the JR Pass is; does that mean I can choose exactly what dates I want to use them within the issue period, and not like say for example, 7 days straight in a row?

What would be the best plan for this itinerary? Thank you in advance!

Hi there,

Are you talking about the JR Pass or a regional pass? The conditions for both can be quite different.

If you mean the JR Pass, this pass is counted in consecutive days.

Kind regards,
Daniel
