Hi,

I would like to check if a 3day JR pass would suffice or would i even need a JR pass taking into account my itinerary appended below. Please note that we would also be doing a driving tour in some parts of our travels.

Grateful if you could kindly advise.

Thanking you in advance.

20 Jul - Arrive in Sapporo. Either take the JR to Noboribetsu or i read that there's a bus called Dounan that goes directly to Nobo. Which would you advise pls?

21 Jul- Leave for Lake Toya.

22 Jul- Leave for Sapporo.

23 Jul- Sapporo. We will probably be renting a car here to go to Shakotan Peninsula and a day trip to Utaru,

24 Jul- Leave for Asahikawa. Driving

25 Jul- Leave for Furano. Driving

26 Jul- Furano. Driving.

27 Jul- Drive back to Sapporo. Home Sweet Home.

Hi there,

The train going from Sapporo also stops at Nobori-betsu, so you won't have any transfers at all.
A 3 Day JR Pass would work out nicely for your visit to Nobori-betsu and Lake Toya.

Since all of your trip is planned nicely, I think that you are ready to go!

Have a great time in Japan!
-Daniel
