Here is a rough itinerary:
10/25 arrive Kansai -- travel to Osaka to overnight
10/25 Osaka to Kyoto
11/5 Osaka to Tokyo (bullet train)
11/6 to Nikko?
11/8 to Haneda airport
Is it worthwhile for me to get a JR pass, maybe from 11/5?

Hi there,
I reviewed your itinerary and most likely a JR Pass would not be cost-efficient. Simplified, you travel one way from Kansai to Tokyo with some stops along the way. A JR Pass would have been a good option had you made a return trip Kansai to Tokyo.
Still I could see a JR Pass paying off if you'd add a day trip from Kyoto, for instance to Hiroshima. You can also use the JR Fare Calculator to get an idea of ticket costs involved.
I hope you find this useful!
Daniel
