Hi,
I am travelling round Japan with my 18 year old son and 17 year old daughter. We land in Haneda at 16:50 on Sunday 18th December. The plans are then:
Asukasa stay 18th - 21st
Kyoto stay 21st - 26th (with day trips to Hiroshima, Nara and possibly Osaka)
Yamanouchi stay 26th - 28th
Shinjuku stay 28th - 1st
Fly out of Haneda at 09:35.
I know we are there for one day extra so would need to buy tickets to the airport on the 1st but otherwise will we make good use of a 14 day pass with this itinerary? Thank you very much
Helen.
Circular Route - is the 14 day pass worth it?
Hi Helen,
Yes, a 14-day JR Pass would be well worth it on this trip. The day trips like Hiroshima add a lot of extra cost without the pass, but like this you're good.
I'm thinking you could even look at a 7-day JR Pass for travel from the 21st until 27th and then use a one way ticket or bus to travel back to Tokyo. Though, the JR Pass could be useful for travel around Tokyo and to Haneda as well.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
Hi,
Thank you very much for the reply. I think you have just saved us even more money with your 7 day pass suggestion.
Helen.
Glad to hear it :D
