Thanks in advance for your advice on the most cost effective way to travel around Japan for the following itinerary

1 Feb - Arrive Narita airport & travel to Shibuya
5 Feb Depart Shibuya - arrive Fujikawaguchiko
6 Feb Depart Fujikawaguchiko - arrive Nagoya
8 Feb Depart Nagoya - arrive Kyoto
12 Feb Depart Kyoto - arrive Nara
13 Feb Depart Nara - arrive Hiroshima
14 Feb depart Hiroshima - arrive Osaka

Can all of these trips be covered by the JR pass?

Hi there,

The most cost-effective option for you would be to purchase your tickets individually, because of the way your itinerary is spread out. It is still an option worth considering as your itinerary is 14 days long, but bear in mind that travel to and from Kawaguchiko is not entirely covered by the JR Pass so if you do choose to purchase one you will need to get at least one extra bus on the way there and back.

Kind regards,

Alexis
