Hi all,

I'm pretty confused about whether I should purchase 7 days or 14 days JR pass for my 2 weeks trip to Japan.

Day 1: Narita airport to Tokyo
Day 2: Takayama
Day 3: Kanazawa
Day 4-6: Kyoto
Day 7: Nara-Osaka
Day 8: Osaka
Day 9-10: Hakone
Day 11: Around Mt. Fuji
Day 12: Nagoya-Tokyo
Day 13-14: Tokyo
Day 15: Narita airport

Any input is greatly appreciated. I appreciate your help in advance!

Hi there,

For me, it'd be a 14-day Japan Rail Pass. You have a lot of train travel planned, right from day 1, so a Japan Rail Pass makes a lot of sense here. It will cover travel between all the cities you plan to visit, though extra transport may be needed around Hakone & Mt. Fuji.

Kind regards,
Daniel
