I will be going back this April ? plan to go to Akita and Nikko? what pass do i need to buy ? how much does it cost? Is kamakura on the way to Nikko? Thanks looking forward for your advice regarding this matter.. God bless

Hi there,
A one way Akita - Nikko is 16,400 JPY. The Japan Rail Pass covers this route but you would have to cover additional travel with it for the JR Pass to help you make savings.
Kamakura is more south and not directly on the route to Nikko.
