I can see that the JR pass is great for going from city to city in Japan. But what about just for getting around Tokyo? Is there a better option for local trains for Tokyo city travel? Day passes? Pay per trip? We will be in Tokyo a week and will want to see a lot in the city so I see us getting on a train to get around Tokyo daily. Can you help answer this please? Thank you!

Hi there,
It totally depends on what you'd like to see and do in Tokyo. However looking at Tokyo Metro Day tickets can be a great start.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
