We will be arriving in Chubu Airport on a Thursday night at 21:25 and will be heading to Tokyo after. We are budget travelers and we intend to take a midnight bus, what is the best option to get to Tokyo (we booked our accommodation in Asakusa)?

What is the bus station that we need to go to?
Is there specific bus schedule that we need to know of?
What is the means of transportation that will get us to that bus station from Chubu Airport?
How much is the fare?
How long is the travel time, Airport to Bus Station?
How long is the travel time, (Nagoya) Bus Station to Tokyo)?
Is it important that we make a bus ticket reservation?

Hi there,

This one may be a bit tricky. First you'll want to travel from Chubu Airport to Nagoya station, it's here that most night buses leave from. You can find access details here to sure to reserve at least 1 Hour for this.

Than you'll have to find a bus http://nightbusjapan.com/ is very useful for this, I would advise trying to find a bus as late as possible, to account for possible delays. Reservations are required beforehand, sometimes days in advance. So be sure to reserve a seat in advance. Tickets range between 4,000-8,000yen, the bus ride will take about 6h.

Hope this helps and good luck with your trip.
