Hi Daniel-San
Please advise:

1) Indeed is the Suica card works exactly like a JR pass, except that it is not usable on express train & Shinkansen? Which trains (name) are considered Express train?
2) Is the Suica card usable on all the JR trains/local trains/buses/subway in Osaka, Kyoto, Fuji & Tokyo?

Looking forward to receive your reply.
Thank you & have a nice day!

Hi there,

The Suica card is not the same as the Rail Pass, while the JR Pass is one ticket for "all you can ride". The Suica card is simply an electronic way of making payment for your trip.

Suica cards are accepted nearly all lines within cities, in more remote area's you may still have to buy a ticket.

Kind regards,
Daniel
