Hi
I’m staying in Tokyo for 5 nights . I will be mainly touring the MT Fuji area and possibly take a day trip to Kyoto or Kanazawa. Is it feasible to get a Jr pass or a mt Fuji tourist pass mini. Is there something like a MT Fuji tourist ticket valid on the shinkensan also?

Thanks
Rhea

Hi Rhea,

The Mt. Fuji-Shizuoka Area Tourist Pass Mini is great if you plan on exploring the Fuji area but I would generally advise it if you do more than 1 day in the area.

There's not really a similar ticket that includes the Tokaido Shinkansen but a 7 day JR Pass or Osaka-Tokyo Hokuriku Arch Pass is worth it if you had to Kanazawa and/or Kyoto.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
