I heard that around end of 2015 year there will be a Shinkansen to Hakodate .
Do you know any progress about this ?
I have planned to go to Hakodate at the end of this year and this information is very helpful.

Hi there,
The Hokkaido Shinkansen to Hakodate will open near the end of March 2016 and the JR Pass can be used on it.
In the meantime, the Shinkansen runs as far as Shin-Aomori from where ltd. express trains run to Hokkaido.
