Hello there,
My wife and I are planning to do a 1 day trip to Mount Fuji for some onsen + outlet shopping. Any idea what is the best options out there ? we are departing from Tokyo down town and the date of travelling is Dec 29th.

Hi there,
Certainly, Gotemba will be the place to visit. It's easy to visit the premium outlets from there.Which has a great view of shopping. There are also different Onsen in the area, although most require you to stay at a close by hotel.
The JR Pass covers the entire route to Gotemba too :)
