I will visit Kyoto again this November. Because of accommodation shortage in Kyoto I have booked my first four days in Nara. Arriving about 7.30 am from Melbourne Australia direct flight to Narita, what would be the cost for a Shinkansen ticket from Narita to Kyoto and then onto Nara. Will the one ticket take me all the way to Nara or do I have to buy another ticket in Kyoto to Nara?. I hope that makes sense?. Also approximately what would be the travelling time Narita to Nara. Thank you.

Hi there,
I think you may find this route useful it gives you all of the above information and more.
You could either buy a ticket at Narita Airport for the entire trip or one for Narita Airport - Kyoto and then a local ticket for Kyoto - Nara. Either way works.
Hope this helps!
Daniel
