Narita - Tokyo - Kyoto - Hakone - Disneyland - Narita

1.) Yes you can use the JR Pass to travel from Narita Airport - Disneyland, later on the JR Pass can also be used for travel to Hakone and Kyoto, making for good savings!

2.) Don't worry at all about traveling late on the train. It's more relaxed, if anything. Rush hour is over an most people will be tired from a long day of work, so it's generally easy to travel around.

3.) Approximately every 30 minutes. Here is the full time table>

I have been told that it is difficult to travel with luggage on the bullet trains - is this correct?
I believe that the JR rail pass wont take us to Hakone?
What time does the ticket office at Narita close - as if we obtain a JR rail pass we will have to go to the Narita ticket office to exchange our voucher for the actual pass?

Hi Karen,

Bullet trains do have limited space for luggage and suitcases, generally it's fine if you can take it on the airplane as well.

The JR Pass can take you to Hakone, you can even use the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Odawara station. From there local (non-JR) travel runs throughout the Hakone area.

The ticket office is open until 21:45, this should give you plenty of time after arrival to exchange the JR Pass and get tickets to Tokyo.

Thank you - now what about traveling from Kyoto to Sagaarashiyama - on the JR Sagano Line - that would be part of the JR Pass?

Hello - I have booked the Toyko Prince Hotel and now I am not sure if using a JR rail pass will get us there from Narita?
Plus we then need to get to Kyoto a few days later. I am wondering if that hotel is a good choice. Karen
