This would be my first time going to Japan. I will be staying near the Namba station in Osaka and will be going to Shinjuku station in Tokyo this coming August 25. What platform and station will I ride from Namba station and how much will this cost me? Do I need a JR Pass to this trip. Thanks

Hi there,
Here is an example itinerary with the entire route and travel time. 235 Minutes / ¥ 14,340.
The JR Pass covers this entire route, however you would need to do additional travel for a JR Pass to pay off.
