I've left my JR pass coupon in another country. Do I need to get a new one Fedex'ed from JRpass or will a photo of my original rail pass be enough to get my ticket when I'm in Japan?

I am sorry to hear that you lost the JR Voucher. Unfortunately the physical voucher is required in order to activate the JR Pass.
