Left luggage

Do JR train stations have lockers for luggage, I will arrive in Osaka (imamiya station) with luggage early morning but cannot check in to my hotel until 1pm. So I was wondering if there was anywhere at the station to store it. Thanks

Hi there,

I am afraid there is no coin locker service in Imamiya station.
If your hotel is near Imamiya station, I recommend you to visit your hotel and ask them to keep your laggage or go to Shin-Imamiya station which is next stop of Imamiya station. There are a couple of coin locker services are available in Shin-Imamiya station.

Although your check-in at 1pm, from my experience, hotel/hostel/ryokan in japan doesn't mind to keep your luggage for free until your room is available. One of the hotel I stayed, they even send it directly to the room while I was happily sightseeing Tokyo :)
