Hi, planning to book 21 days pass and need to know if traveling by JR pass between Sapporo and Otaru is possible? Also, need to check if changing the dates of JR pass is possible in case of any emergency ? Thank you

Hi there,
Yes, the JR line between Sapporo and Otaru is covered by the JR Pass.
You can activate the JR Pass at any day within 3 months after purchase, so you are quite flexible in that sense. Note that it is not possible to change the date of the JR Pass after activating in Japan.
