We have a trip planned to Japan this May and the cities we will visit are:
Narita airport>>Tokyo (3 nights)>>Hakone (1 nights)>>Kyoto (2 nights)>>Osaka (2 nights)>>Flight back to Tokyo (1 night). So our journey is one way ticket for the transportation down to Osaka via rail or trains. Could you please advise if its more cost effective to purchase the JR pass for 7 days or to purchase normal tickets throughout our trip?

Thanks

Hi there,

A JR Pass would be useful if you made a return Tokyo - Osaka, however by flying one way, it would be better to simply buy normal train tickets.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
