We will be travelling from Tokyo airport to Myoko-Kogen and planning to use the Shinkansen on Saturday 15 March and then returning to Tokyo on 22 March, and then to the airport on Monday 24. It has been suggested that we buy a Japan Rail East pass but looking at fare prices it would seem to be a lot cheaper to simply buy the journey tickets. Can anyone offer me advise. Thank you.

Hi there!
I would agree with your findings. Buying normal tickets for your travel would be a lot cheaper :)
The JR East pass should be considered if you travel up to in Tohoku but I think it would be better to just buy tickets for travel to Myoko-Kogen.
Hope this helps!
