Is it possible to go to Kagoshima with the Japan Rail Pass ?

Hi all,

As I found some contradictory informations, I was wondering whether it is possible or not to go to Kagoshima with the Japan rail pass. Here http://www.japanrailpass.net/img/about_jrp/file/shinkansen_en.pdf it does not look possible, but on other websites or forum, it looks like it is okay for some people.

On the Hyperdia website, a SAKURA shinkansen seems to go there. (here from Nagasaki)
