Hello.. I know this pass doesn't cover the Tokaido shinkansen or Shizuoka. Can you please tell me how I can use this pass to get as close to Shizuoka city from Tokyo as possible? I am looking for the fastest possible connection from Tokyo. I will pay for the remaining connection separately. Thank you.

Hi there,
Basically the JR East Nagano Pass is near to useless for travel to Shuzuoka. You could use local trains as far as Atami and board a Shinkansen from there but you'd still pay for most of the trip.
Considering your trip to Shikuoka, you may want to look at other passes, such as a 7 day JR Pass.
