Hi team! Glad I found this forum - I'm hoping to get some insights.

I'm traveling to Japan in March (entering on 15th and exiting on 25th from Osaka).
This is my planned itinerary:
2 days Osaka
3 days Tokyo (including trip to Mt Fuji)
Back to Osaka with:
Day trip Kyoto
Day trip Nara
Day trip Kobe
Spend last days in Osaka

I wonder which JR pass I should get? And should I also get the Osaka e-pass too?
(It's a bit confusing with the regions and the private train companies). Hoping someone can help! Thanks!

Hi there,

I would recommend purchasing a 7-day JR Pass, setting the activation date for when you leave Osaka for Tokyo. That way, all of your itinerary is covered.

The e-pass is a tourist pass, so I would suggest looking into what it offers and whether you'll be visiting those places.

Hope this helps!

Alexis
