Hi again

The trip planning is coming together nicely, however I need some advice on how to get from the airport to our accommodation, as we will be arriving in Tokyo very late in the evening.

We fly in to Haneda airport in Tokyo at 2300 (11pm) on a Wednesday and we need to get to Asakusa. I have had a look at a few sites but it seems that at that time public transport starts to close for the night. Can you suggest the easiest way to get to Asakusa?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Arriving late at Haneda Airport can always be a little tricky. This is a great access guide for late night arrivals. I looked up the route to Asakusa and the last train connection leaves at 23:35. Generally Haneda Airport is very quick so you may be able to catch it, failing that I would recommend taking the Monorail to Hamamatsucho (last stop) transfer there to the Yamanote line to Ueno and take a Taxi from there.

I would not recommend taking a taxi directly from the airport as this would be very expansive.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
