I'm JR pass holder, I would like to explore Hakone and Lake Kawaguchi in one day? I would like to visit Hakone first from Odawara in the very morning then I will go to lake Kawaguchi from Gotemba. Is is possible?. And what kind of pass that I should buy/use for this kind of trip? Is it fuji hakone pass? Is the pass cover retro red line bus? Can I buy it in Odawara station?

Have a look at this page for travel around Hakone and Kawaguchiko. Select To/From Fuji 5 Lakes on the top and it will give you all transport options.
