My family and a group of friends are planning our trip to go skiing in January 2017. Our initial plan was/is as follows;
Order a Japan Rail Pass prior to leaving Australia
Arrive at Haneda International at 0500am
Monorail to Hamamatsucho and then JR Yamanote Line through to Tokyo Station.
Catch the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Iiyama Station.
My questions are;
Will be able to exchange our orders for the Japan Rail Pass at Haneda International so early in the morning? The office at the arrivals terminal does not seem to open until 0730.
Also, we were hoping to reserve seating on Shinkansen through to Iiyama however I have read that you need to pick up your reserved tickets the day before travel, which we obviously can not do that. As there is 12 of us traveling with children I did not want to have to worry about finding seats etc. in the non reserved carriages.
Thanks for your help and hopefully my questions and spelling makes some sense.
