Hi,
I'm planning to take the Bus from Fujisan area to Mishima station and train to Kyoto.
Do we really need to book the bus and the train in advance as we're a bit not sure about what time we're leaving fujisan. and connecting is challenging.

Hello there,
You can find the details on this website. There are two bus types, express bus and normal bus. Seat reservations are required for the express bus.

Thank you very much Daniel, how about the Shinkansen train from Mishima to Kyoto? What is the chance that i just board the train without reservation? Do i have to pay extra for reservation with JR Pass? Thank you

Hi there,
You can always board the train without reservation and use a non reserved seat, this does however lessen your changes of good seating.
The JR Pass included seat reservations free of charge.
