Hi, I'm puzzling around which airport I should arrive in Tokyo, Narita or Haneda? (Which one is more convenient to access to downtown, main shoppings, Tokyo tower and tourists attractions). What's the mean of transportation? Within Tokyo vicinity, should I just stay in Tokyo and travel daily? Or should I move to any other places which is nice? If I want to go Fuji mountain, how far from Tokyo? Or which location I should book hotel? How s the transportation look like? Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

Ps. I didn't book ticket yet, just reserve hotel in Shiba for 5nights so far. (free cancellation).

Hi there,

Haneda is generally considered the more convenient airport, as its closer to Tokyo. Narita Airport however does have a very good connection with the Narita Express which is fast and convenient.

As for where to stay in Tokyo, it does not matter that much but I do suggest finding a place on the Yamanote line. This is the circle loop line that stops at many major stations and Tokyo.

For Fuji see:

Thanks so much for your tip. By the way, if I stay in Tokyo and travelling to Fuji and Nagoya. What kind of JR I need to buy? Or just normal? Like 7days? Where can I Buy? Here online or any agent in HOng Kong? Are they similar price?

Thanks.

Hi again,

If you limited travel to Fuji and Nagoya, then a normal tickets are recommended. If you do a bit more travel, such as travel to Kyoto/Osaka, then a JR Pass is recommended.

We don't have any relation with Hong Kong agents, so I can't comment on their prices. However we do not charge any extra fees and shipping is only charged once per order.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
